Camps

School camps are organised as a part of the school program. Every second year, students in Grade 2 and older attend camps that are organised by teachers. Prep and Grade 1 students have a yearly dinner at school, with the Grade 1 students sleeping over at school in their classroom.

In 2022 Grade 3/4 students attended a one night camp at Sovereign Hill Historical Village and the 5/6 students attended a two night camp at Sovereign Hill Narmbool Ecological Farm.

Year 5/6 students have also camped out in tents on the school oval.

All information regarding Camps will be sent home via notes and is uploaded onto XUNO.

Costs and payment arrangements

Teachers attempt to keep the cost as low as possible, and planning is such that parents are given sufficient time to make financial arrangements. If you are finding it difficult to pay for your child to attend camp, please discuss it with their teacher, or the principal. We can offer an extended payment plan to ensure camps are paid for prior to the event.

There are also occasionally other camping opportunities for children run by the Department of Education. The school will notify parents of children who may be eligible.
