We invite members of the school, parents and friends to review and provide feedback on the Draft Landscape Plan for the Norwood Hill Recreation Reserve.
Norwood Hill Reserve Draft Landscape Plan and Drop-In Session
Have Your Say
The draft landscape design has been informed by feedback received from community consultation undertaken in May 2020, along with discussions with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and Dja Dja Wurrung and other First Nations Community Elders.
We have incorporated many great ideas into the design, including accessible paths, an increase in gardens and trees, more seating and picnic areas, and signage with local indigenous cultural heritage information. Proposed play equipment includes a big swing and spinning features, along with equipment for teens such as parkour or skate elements.
The plan includes an upgrade to the surface of the existing courts with additional features such as a rebound wall, basketball and netball hoops and four square lines.
Along with these ideas the draft landscape design includes nature play elements and improved integration between the reserve and the Lawrence Street road reserve. The sandpit will be retained under the plan.
The draft landscape plan can be view by visiting www.mountalexander.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay where you will also be able to provide feedback on the draft landscape plan via an online survey or please come along to a drop-in session.
Drop In-Session
Council’s Active Communities Team and landscape architects from Pollen will be available to meet with the community at a COVIDSafe drop-in session.
The session will be held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Thursday 10 December at the Norwood Hill Recreation Reserve, Maclise Street, Castlemaine.
