SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY AUGUST 19^TH 2019: SUMMARY OF MEETING

Our last School Council meeting was held on Monday August 19^th 2019.  We started the meeting by reflecting on what has worked well since our last meeting, including the tree planting day, the recent parent forums, the senior student’s assembly on Monday 19^th August, and the two football excursions. Students from Grades 4, 5, and 6 students had a great time watching the Richmond players train while another group enjoyed a very informative tour of the MCG Sports Museum. This was followed up with another trip to the MCG to watch Richmond versus Carlton.  We are busily preparing for the upcoming School Review, and would welcome your support at this very busy time. Thank you to those parents/carers who attended the forums last week. We gathered some very useful feedback about what the school is doing well and areas for further improvement. This data will be used as part of the review. In the meantime, we are working on ensuring that there are clear communication channels between home and school. One of our key methods of communication is Flat Chat. More hard copies of this newsletter will be available as well as the usual online access via the SZapp. We are looking forward to the upcoming Father’s Day stall on Thursday 29^th August 2019 (before school only) and Friday 30^th August 2019 (lunchtime only). We are also in the planning stage for the end of year Twilight Market on 6^th December 2019. Your support with these events is much appreciated.

The next school council meeting is scheduled for Monday 16th September 2019 at 7pm.
