The Mango Fundraiser has informed us that their crops have matured earlier than expected this year. Our original delivery date was going to be December 16th but will now be the week before (beginning 9th December). We understand this is very disappointing as some of you were wanting your mangoes closer to Christmas. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause you and your customers.

Kitchen volunteers:
We always love kitchen helpers in our cooking classes!
They are held fortnightly on Mondays (even weeks - 4/5/6C), and every Wednesday (even weeks - 4/5/6B; odd weeks - 2/3H), between 11:25am & 1:25pm.
The Prep/1 classes will have a special cooking class each term.
P/1J has had their final cooking class for the year.
P/1R has the last cooking session on Monday December 2nd!
Kitchen helpers for these classes would be particularly helpful - please let the office know if you'd like to volunteer!
What you can expect from a class:
Students work in groups to make seasonal dishes, using produce from our garden. Once a group finishes preparing their dish, they clean up their bench, do dishes, and set the tables. Around 1:00pm, we all sit down together and share the meal.
Volunteers will need to sign in via the visitors log in the office and show their WWCC. Please contact the office if you have any questions or would like to volunteer!

Congratulations to all students who entered work into the Castlemaine Show!
It was wonderful to see so many students keen to put their work out for the community to see. Many students were able to attend the Show and see their work on display.
Those who did not viewed the 'mini exhibition' of the artworks in the Art room when the Show was over.
We look forward to more students participating next year!
Congratulations to the Winters Flat mixed tennis team for making it through to the Regional Tournament in Swan Hill and for being Runners Up in that competition!
Thank you, too, to Sam, and parents Kirsty and Giselle, for driving and supporting the team on the day!
.
Congratulations to Aurora for making it through to to the State Finals in 12-13 girls' High Jump in Melbourne last week, and giving it her best!
NEWS | P/1 Dinner and Sleepover
Last Friday, the Prep and Grade 1 students had a HUGE day - first heading out to Harcourt to play kickball (though it was a bit cold and wet!), before having their special dinner and sleepover at school. The Prep students head home after dinner and the Grade 1s get to stay at school for the night!
Everyone had a GREAT time!
Thank you to all the families who helped with dinner and breakfast!
2/3H is having a great time participating in the River Detectives program!
They spend time on the banks of Campbells Creek in an outdoor classroom setting, doing hands-on learning about river ecosystems. Students enjoy discovering different river bugs, testing water quality, and learning about the significance of Aboriginal respect for the land. They also explore native and introduced plant and animal species, helping them appreciate the balance and complexities of local habitats.
A regular highlight is observing the various water bugs collected directly from water samples from the creek. Each student is completing an inquiry project on their favourite water bug, bringing their learning to life through research and creativity.
This program sparks a deep curiosity about nature and environmental responsibility and provides students with another opportunity for learning outside the classroom.
To learn more about River Detectives, check out their webpage here.
